Last evening, the moon loomed large and yellow over my hometown. I hurried home and took some shots from my first floor terrace. The best of the lot is given below. But it is still no way close to what I seek. Will I ever get the moon shot I dream of?

The Moon Cannot Be Stolen
Ryokan, a Zen master, lived the simplest kind of life in a little hut at the foot of a mountain. One evening a thief visited the hut only to discover there was nothing in it to steal.
Ryokan returned and caught him. “You may have come a long way to visit me,” he told the prowler, “and you shoud not return emptyhanded. Please take my clothes as a gift.”
The thief was bewildered. He took the clothes and slunk away.
Ryokan sat naked, watching the moon. “Poor fellow, ” he mused, “I wish I could give him this beautiful moon.”

PS: Nice to see that it can atleast be photographed 😉 This result was absolutely lovely, good luck with your next attempt!

Hi Sanjay,
Great Zen story.
I am so glad the moon cannot be plucked away. Otherwise our Bollywood heroes would have had it some 50 years back.
Thanks for stopping by and that Google link (which made me feel no better with their super images) 🙂
Me too, I’m still looking for a decent moon shot. So far on the net for some reason I haven’t found one. I don’t have a long enough lens to capture the moon the way I want so need to rely one others.
